This
editorial by NY Times columnist Paul Krugman gives a small token of hope amid the reports that Obama is caving in to the right-wing lie machine in regards to health care.
75% of the country wants some kind of public option, yet we may not get it because Obama seems to value 'bi-partisanship' over actual results. But if Krugman still thinks that a mere revamp of the current private system might actually make a difference, then that's certainly worth noting. Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman has been one of Obama's biggest and earliest critics on the left, so his approval is a slight relief to the current madness.
