The first trailer for Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans... Wow.

Well, this looks special, regardless of whether you have fond memories of the infamous original. That 1992 Abel Ferrara cult film starred Harvey Keitel as a completely whacked-out cop trying to solve the rape of a nun. For those who mourn the alleged death of 'looney tunes' Nicolas Cage, there should be much rejoicing. This seems to be a trip back to pre-Leaving Las Vegas for Mr. Nic Cage. It's certainly an interesting first look. Val Kilmer also looks like he's having a blast. This definitely might be some kind of twisted masterpiece and/or colossal train wreck. Either way, it should be entertaining.

Saw this trailer post over at Rottentomatoes and Incontention and now here. This is a personal blog so it doesn't surprise me here, but where is the Red Band label or at least a NSFW label?

This was never intended to be seen in theaters, hence the closing 'now in post-production' tag. I'm guessing the trailer is for would-be distributors, be it here or overseas.

It makes sense to me that its not a typical trailer. This is the first time that I can remember that so many "big" sites (rottentomatoes.com has now posted it as well) have posted something featuring nudity, cursing, and drug use with absolutely no indication that it wasn't a normal trailer. This has to be a first of some kind
