I'm sure we'll hear all kinds of chit-chat about how 'dark and grim' this new Spider-Man is, which is funny as I thought the first Sam Raimi picture was pretty glum. Sure, it's bright and colorful as all hell, but is there any character who isn't a miserable mental wreck for more than thirty seconds at any point in the picture? It's such a bummer that it ends with the funeral for the villain, for goodness sake! Anyway, I'm sure we'll be seeing more photos and/or posters in the next couple months, with a brief teaser probably debuting with one of the various summer tent poles. Logic would dictate that a new Spider-Man teaser would debut with Thor or Captain America, but I'm hoping Sony decides to extend its middle finger to their fellow Marvel brethren and debut said teaser with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II or, even better, with Green Lantern.
