Box Office Misc...

Stuff that has happened at the box office...

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen crossed the $300 million mark on Tuesday, in just fourteen days. The Dark Knight did it in ten days and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest did it in sixteen.

Star Trek crossed the $250 million mark on Monday. It's done just $125 million overseas (I'm assuming it's not done yet).

Sandra Bullock's The Proposal crossed $100 million yesterday, her fifth such milestone and her first since Miss. Congeniality back in Christmas 2000. Barring some unforeseen variable, it will easily become Bullock's highest grossing film by the end of the month. Internationally, Speed's $350 million tally will be tough to surpass, but Miss Congeniality's second-place $212 million finish should be a cinch.

Once tomorrow's numbers are released, The Hangover (total as of Tuesday - $208.9 million) will have likely surpassed The Wedding Crashers ($209 million) and 300 ($210 million) and enter the weekend as number-6, where it will dethrone Saving Private Ryan ($216 million) and end the weekend as the 5th highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
