I've just gotten confirmation from a source on the LAPD, officer Rolo Tomassi
, that three people have been arrested and charged with the shocking internet leak of 20th Century Fox's
X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Production company
RSP had famously denied involvement, and a
major FBI raid on an Dallas Internet hub caused major damage to businesses in the area. And, just days ago, longtime Fox News online columnist Friedman
was probably/possibly/maybe fired for reviewing the bootleg and basically advocating online piracy. Online speculation has run rampant as to whether or not the leak was
actually an inside job meant to drum up publicity for the bad-buzz plagued production, or perhaps allow Fox to write off losses should the film under-perform at the box office.
But now, just a week after the storm broke, and to the relief to film executives everywhere, three suspects have apparently been caught. We don't know anything except the names of the suspects, but I'll bring you any and all updates. The men arrested have been identified as Bruno Richard Hauptmann, Ferdinando Nicola Sacco, and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. More on this shocking twist as it develops. Fox head honcho Tom Rothman has expressed relief and satisfaction over the arrests.
"Hopefully the arrests of these three shady looking immigrants, who are in no way connected to 20th Century Fox, will resolve any speculation that the leak was intentional and that Fox itself is to blame."

"More on this as it develops."
ReplyDeleteDon't know why other internet sites seem to be talking about this subject with a sigh, but your blog has become the go to site for news about it, Bravo.
BTW, just saw a 30 mil. Fri for Fast and Furious, can't wait to see your box office analysis.
ReplyDeleteYou're three days late, Scott! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou guys do realize that Bruno Richard Hauptmann, Ferdinando Nicola Sacco, and Bartolomeo Vanzetti are all famous criminals, right?
ReplyDeleteSacco and Vanzetti were nver PROVEN to be criminals...read some more.
ReplyDeleteTo the other Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteWhat, are you related to Sacco and Vanzetti or something?
I was just pointing out that the last remark in Scott's blog was meant to be taken in jest.
Using the term, “Criminals” was the best and quickest way to describe the three men without this turning into a history lesson.
Perhaps you should read the actual blog instead of going nuts over a misused Sacco and Vanzetti reference in the comment page. Who the hell does that, anyway? No wait, don't answer that. I don't want to know.
Also, is "nver" a word? "Nver" heard of it :)
The only relation i have with Sacco and Vanzetti is that i'm Italian, and no...i'm not an old nostalgic fart.
ReplyDeleteIt was just a small remark because kids nowadays tend to learn history more on the "intermess" than in the actual history books.
I sincerely apologize for the "read some more" part, that was unnnecessary.
Again it was not AIMED at you, it's just bad memories i have from when i lived in L.A. , where people think USA has the absolute truth about everything and the maximum expression of "knowledge" is "I've read all the harry potter books and siddhartha".
I know USA isn't ALL like that...but it was just to make sure ^_*
Peace ^_*
