I haven't been to the the...Yes to all of this. I haven't been to the theatre in 3 months for the simple fact that family, job, and other obligations have kept me from going. Plus, during the months from August to October, I haven't felt the need to actually go with what's out.

Now, everything is out and my wife and I have to be very, very choosy. Money's tight. It's getting close to the holidays and that means choosing very, very carefully. I had planned to see Atlas this weekend but since the wife and I haven't had date night in a long, long while, I had to choose between Atlas and a sure fire great time for the both of us, Skyfall.

Argo, I'm desperate to see now before the end of the year and so is the wife so hopefully we can make that up during the Thanksgiving break (Grandparents can babysit). Problem with that is that we've decided to see two movies during the break and one of them is without any hesitation, Lincoln. The other problem is that we REALLY want to see Silver Linings Playbook. Thus, if we choose those two, Argo gets pushed aside again and then we hit December, when there's more added to the schedule.

Honestly, I wish that the studios would do more VOD through iTunes and other digital services. I can't tell you how many different films I've watched this year through VOD via iTunes that I probably never would've watched in the past. It's open my mind to all types of different stuff, even if they're not all great (Bacholorette comes to mind).

Argo would be perfect for VOD right now for my situation and I'm sure for many others. Hell, Perks of Being a Wallflower is another one that could've benefited from VOD. I'm aching to see that one too but I just don't know where to fit it in.

Being a cinema fan and having family and job obligations is hell sometimes. You just miss stuff and if you don't remember to right it down somewhere, couple that with the great TV shows of this era, you end up forgetting.corysimsnoreply@blogger.com
